Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)
We provide medical nutrition therapy for in-patients and out-patients. This encompasses the assessment of a patient’s nutritional risk and requirements and then providing specific nutrition interventions to each patient. Additionally, we provide in-depth nutritional counseling to patients with a wide variety of medical conditions that include, but is not limited to, kidney failure, cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, malnutrition, trauma, and critical care. Although not directly involved with the hospital’s catering department, we do liaise with the food service units to ensure that optimal and appropriate therapeutic diets are provided to patients under our care.
